Bonnie Fields was a long-term St Vincent Pharmacy Associate who now is retired but just experienced a devastating fire at her home 11/29/21. She is now displaced to an extended stay Hotel and is in need of our assistance. Though she has temporary housing arrangements coordinated through her Insurance company,
she is just filtering through what her day-day needs are beyond accommodations. With that, she has relayed that she is in need of just basics like groceries and maybe some basic cooking items not provided by her extended hotel (Toaster Oven).
I will provide a more detailed listing of items Bonnie needs over the next few days as Bonnie shares these with me but for now, the best way we can assist Bonnie is just ensuring she has the financial resources to purchase daily necessities.
If anyone knew or knows Bonnie, they would appreciate that she would be the first to offer assistance in any way she could to anyone who would need a helping hand.
As a St Vincent Associate, whether an active Associate or as retiree's, we are all life-long St Vincent Associate family members and when one of us is in need of help, those Spirit of Caring badges we wore so proudly back in the day weren't just badges, they were us, then and now.
So please, this could be any of us in need, especially during this Holy Season and this is the time to bring not just assistance but a smile to Bonnie's face just knowing we never forget one of our own. It is the "Reason for the Season".
I would like to raise at least $1500 to cover Bonnie's immediate needs and as time progresses, possibly request more assistance as the weeks and months pass.
I would also invite everyone to send Bonnie a card to lift her spirits. Her temporary address (till 12/31/21):
