We are raising funds for the amazing Bonnie Bailey-Reed and Gary Reed, Neal’s aunt and uncle, both career actors and performers, living in Sherman Oaks, CA in the Los Angeles area. On Tuesday Jan 7, a massive Oak Tree fell on the little farmhouse Bonnie & Gary have called home for 28 years. They have hosted many gatherings there, filled their home with love and handmade items, hosted family and friends, and offered housing to struggling young performers. After the tree crashed through the attic and nearly caved in the ceiling, they stayed in their home for several nights and waited for services, as the city is completely overwhelmed by the wild fires and the ongoing damage. They were told on Jan 11, their beloved farmhouse is no longer safe to inhabit and they have to find alternative housing. It is yet unclear if they will be returning. They are both in their 70’s and tied to LA by work and community and just the loveliest people you will ever meet.
