This project is part of the Arizona State University's Capstone Program giving students the opportunity to create short films as part of their senior project.
The short film, Bonney, is a western drama set in the late 1800s, revolving around the tragic story of Billy Bonney, better known as Billy the Kid, and his unexpected reunion with an old friend, Wilbur Walsh. A weary journalist, Walsh, crosses paths with Billy, a former delivery boy he once knew, in a quiet hotel in Fort Sumner, New Mexico, in April 1881. Now, a hardened outlaw on the run, Billy's appearance and actions reveal his troubled past. The two men reconnect, reminiscing about old times. But the reunion is short-lived, as Bonney is gunned down by Pat Garrett in the hallway of the hotel. What Walsh does next will leave a lasting legacy.
