Bonita started having a seizure on Wednesday evening and recovered shortly after 15 minutes. She was rushed to the emergency vet where they took her bloods and 30 minutes later the blood came back with no issues- completely healthy.

I came home on Friday night at 10.30pm to find her having another seizure in her litter box and unfortunately I don’t know how long she was seizing for but I gave her the medicine I was given and waited for the episode to finish. I went to the vet again 9am this morning and she was put on medication for epilepsy and seizures.

I need to bring her to UCD Vet I am being referred as Bonita can’t walk since this happened.

Due to having to move house as my landlady is selling our home I am in probably the most stressful situation imaginable with money. I spent the last of my money on emergency visits and need all the help I can possible get. Thank you so much to everyone.

Bonita was seen by another vet who was extremely helpful and explained Bonita is infact not having seizures. She has pain inside her ear which had caused an infection so she was treated for two rounds of antibiotics, ear drops and steroids. She has been given 2 checkups as well and has been told she needs to go to forward to get the CT scan.

Villiage vets in Ashbourne charges €800 for the CT scan so we will be referred to there and then after that we will know what’s wrong as Bonita cleared the infection but we now know there is something inside her ear be it polyps or something unknown.
