Dear kind-hearted friends and generous supporters,
Good day. I am writing this letter with a humble heart to ask for your prayers and financial assistance for my beloved sister, Lyka Velasco, who is currently confined in the hospital in the Philippines while undergoing continuous chemotherapy.
Lyka was first diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in November 2024. By God’s grace, she went into remission for a couple of months, giving us hope and strength. Sadly, in 2025, her cancer relapsed. After thorough medical evaluation, her doctors confirmed that the only way for her to survive cance and fully recover is through a bone marrow transplant.
At present, Lyka is receiving continuous chemotherapy while waiting for the schedule of her bone marrow transplant to prevent further complications and keep her condition stable. However, the transplant cannot proceed without sufficient funds, and the cost of her ongoing medications, treatments, and hospital care continues to rise each day.
As her sister, it pains me deeply to see her fight this battle. I am currently unemployed and pregnant, and I have exhausted all possible means to support her medical needs. With no other option left, I am humbly reaching out to your kind hearts for help.
Any amount, big or small, will be a great blessing and a huge help for my sister’s medication, treatment, and upcoming transplant. More than financial support, we also ask for your prayers for her healing and strength during this difficult time.
I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you. From the bottom of our hearts, we deeply appreciate your kindness and generosity. May God bless you abundantly and give back to you tenfold for every help you extend.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read our story and for being part of Lyka’s fight for life.
With gratitude and hope,
Kristell Bagayan
Sister of Lyka Velasco
