Asa’s Fight Continues
15 year old Asa Ramkisoon from Trinidad & Tobago was diagnosed with AML Leukemia in October 2020. Asa's home country was unable to treat his cancer which resulted in his family coming to New York (Cohen's Children's Medical Center) in December 2020 to continue his treatment which was initially 6 cycles, instead it took 10 cycles for him to achieve remission. He is now in remission but has to do a Bone Marrow Transplant as tests indicated he had a gene mutation (NUP98).
His mom is his primary caregiver and unable to work. its uncertain how long Asa's treatment would last. They are asking for support to cover living expenses while he continues his treatment and he is cleared to return home.
