The Bond family officially received the kidney transplant call yesterday Friday, December 29th. John and Erin packed their bags and jetted off (literally) to Pittsburg's VA hospital for testing and thankfully a scheduled transplant at noon today Saturday, December 30th.
John Bond was in army basic trainging over 10 years ago when he became ill. He received approval for a transplant in 2016. The wait for a new kidney is finally over!!
John and Erin will be in Pitsburg for 2-4 weeks and recovery can take a full 6-8 weeks before he is back to work which puts a heavy burden on the financials and necessities for their family.
I'm hoping and praying this finds enough people to give this family some financial relief and bonding time with John's new kidney
