Bondi to Watson's Bay Ocean Swim for Drought
Hi All,
This year on the 17th of May the three of us are going to be taking on the notorious Bondi Beach to Watsons Bay South Head Roughwater ocean swim. It is a 10km marathon swim that is renowned for its big swells and chilly water. We will be swimming approximately 3.3km each in an effort to try and win the “Trio’s” division.
As a part of our swim we are going to be raising money for the “Drought Angels”. The Drought Angels support Aussie farmers and their rural communities who have been affected by natural disasters (in particular the drought). They provide stock feed, food hampers, care packs, prepaid visas and local store vouchers for our farmers in need.
We respect the fact that many people have already made donations to those affected by the catastrophic bushfires in recent times - we too have donated to that cause. However, we are mindful to not forget about the similarly catastrophic effects the drought has had on an enormous number of individuals and families in regional areas of Australia over a long period of time. We want to ensure that those individuals and families continue to be recognized, remembered and financially supported. We ask that you assist us in continuing to raise much needed funds to achieve this goal by making a financial donation to Drought Angels.
Cheers
Finn, Liam and Will
