Support for Mamadou in ICE Detention. Texas
My name is Fitz . I am writing on behalf of my husband Mamadou who is currently in an ICE Facility in Texas.
Mamadou entered the United States on December 6, 2023, after enduring a long and dangerous one-month journey to flee persecution.
Mamadou is a gay man, and like many others who flee to this country, he is simply seeking safety, dignity, and a chance to live freely without fear.
Mamadou faced severe discrimination, social isolation, and threats of violence simply for being who he is gay.
Mamadou’s Master Hearing is scheduled for July 29, 2025.
I am pleading for help because I do not want my husband to be deported back to a country where he faces credible fear of persecution based on his sexuality. I ask for compassion and support in helping Mamadou obtain release through BOND with the funds raised.
It has been extremely difficult financially to coordinate support through visitation, commissary, telephone, and possibly bond, that's why we need your support. New Sanctuary have played a part in advocating for Mamadou, and if any money not used, a portion will be donated to the organization.
I have attached our story below:
Sincerely,
Fitz
