My son has been blessed with the opportunity to study abroad with his mentoring, college readiness program, Kappa League Chicago. The Kappa Leadership Institute – Chicago is a 501(c)(3) Not-for-Profit Organization commonly referred to as the Chicago Kappa League Program. The mission is to provide educational college readiness opportunities for economically disadvantaged and/or underrepresented minority males who demonstrate high potential and who are adamant about the fact that they plan to attend college and will pursue a professional career that will be rewarding and vital to their community. Every year, they bring together the comprehensive resources required to shape young men into academic achievers and life - long community leaders. 

Bennie is currently a junior at Kenwood Academy.  He is involved in football and is a buddy with the Best Buddies. Bennie is also a member of Logos Baptist Assembly where he serves on the media ministry. He is a cadet with the Chicago Police and Firefighter Training Academy (CPFTA). Bennie enjoys giving back to his community, he volunteers often. He is a God-fearing, humble, amusing, compassionate young man, big brother and just an all-around awesome son that I am willing to share with the world.

Given the opportunity he will either partake in a community service project or learn a language of the country he will domicile in. Lastly, your donations also assist in ACT/SAT prep which has a proven record of producing high scores, which in turn, makes one more marketable for colleges and universities.
