Bomb Squad: Pops4Pammy (HR Derby for Diabetes)

We love softball. Diabetes, not so much. Every year, our local softball league (SOMA Sport & Social) puts on a Home Run Derby to raise money for a charity. This year, each team gets to raise money for their own cause, and we've chosen diabetes - a disease that's managed  to sneak its way into far too many of our loved one's lives.

Every dollar you give supporting us hitting bombs will benefit DiabetesSisters, Inc., a unique 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to help women with diabetes live full, healthy lives. Their goal is to provide vital emotional and peer support, empower them with education on diabetes, and advocate for their rights. It's a community where women come to form a special bond and share resources, tips, and stories of hope.

About our name: Bomb Squad: Pops4Pammy is a nod to Cindy's late sister, Pamela Price Page, who passed from complications related to diabetes on January 25, 2016. As a teenager,  Pam was known for her long, graceful lefty bombs to center field at their local neighborhood park, earning her the nickname, "Homerun Pammy".
