Hi I'm Tracey, I rescued Bolt at eight weeks old. She was malnourished and only weighed 2.3 kilograms. I found out late last year my beautiful girl needs two hip replacements. Initially I thought the cost would be covered by my pet insurance but the surgery isn't and the total cost will be $22,000. I have a number of medical issues and I had planned to get her training to be my support dog. That is now on hold until we can get Bolt the surgery she needs. In addition to Bolt's surgery she is getting fortnightly hydrotherapy at Canine Therapies Warrnambool. I am doing everything I can to save as much money to put towards her surgery but if anyone can help in a small way I would be eternally grateful. We love Bolt and we can't imagine her not being here or her being in chronic pain. She is full of energy but she can't play due to the pain and it's breaking my heart.
For those generous people who have visited and donated to the cause you may notice that there has been an increase in the target required, this is due to the operation bill increaseing due to a new financial year this was only brought to my attention last week, Bolt also requires more x-rays and pain medication. If we exceed out target of money raised this will go towards Bolts other hip operation.
I cant express enough how very grateful I am for each and every donation that we have received so far the kindness in people never ceases to amaze.
Many Thanks,
Tracey and Bolt
