Bolo Goes to Kindergarten
Donation protected
Bolo has been attending Maharishi School since he was just 18 months old. I've been fortunate over the last two years to receive government assistance to send him to such a fantastic school. However, this year, Bolo will be in Kindergarten (can't even believe it) and we are no longer eligible for assistance as it stops after pre-school.
I had happily planned to enroll Bolo at the public school, though I was a bit sad he wouldn't be able to wrap up his schooling at Maharishi School- I was excited to see him graduate with all of his friends and teachers who have been there from the very beginning. But there are such great aspects to the public school as well so, given the financial strain, I chose that route.
Enter Covid-19.
The kids were asked to stop attending school, seeing their friends, and interacting with other children in March. It's now been so long, It has started to feel like sending him to a brand new school, with brand new teachers and kids, would just be too intense for him. It's a big request, I feel, to ask a young boy to make one dramatic change after another.
We have applied for scholarships and if approved, the total cost of his tuition will be around $2500. We are asking for whatever anyone can contribute to help us make this a reality.
I know this is a hard time for everyone and its hard to get here; asking for this kind of help is something I wanted to avoid. But here we are. We love you and appreciate your good thoughts and love.
