Lichfield Rugby Club is a community amateur rugby club, with a proud history of providing exciting and successful rugby to the local community throughout it's almost 150 year existence.
The club has just started a major refit and refurbishment of it's Boley Lounge. This room has not really been updated during our 35-year tenancy at Cooke Fields, which probably explains why it is very under-utilised and in desperate need of a face-lift.
The plan is to completely renovate the room, adding a new bar and 4 large dormer windows which will take full advantage of the great view over the first team pitch. This will give us a much more attractive and usable space which members, visitors and sponsors can use, also allowing us to run more club and external functions (including two separate functions at the same time) – hence crucially providing us with additional revenue generating possibilities. It will be more rugby-oriented than the downstairs bar – displaying all the international shirts, photos and other rugby memorabilia that we have accumulated since 1874!
But of course this work comes at a cost, and whilst we are extremely grateful to our major sponsors who have generously agreed to cover the costs of supplying & fitting the new bar, the dormers and the necessary scaffolding work, there are a number of other items that we still need to source and fund. This is where you can help - by donating money to help us finish the work.
Hopefully this is a simple way for you to do so.
Many thanks for your support.
