Bojack's Emergency Vet Bills

Hi, I'm Julianna and this fundraiser is for my sweet 8-year-old boy Bojack. He is a flame point siamese who stole the hearts of me and my boyfriend back in January of 2015. We've moved cross-country with him twice, from Texas to Michigan to Nashville, Tennessee. He has developed diabetes and is in need of immediate hospitalization for complications arising from this new diagnosis.

On Monday, January 24, Bo didn't wake me up for breakfast like he usually does every morning at 5am. 2 days later he started hiding and finishing less and less of his meals. By Thursday we rushed him to the emergency vet as he refused all food entirely and collapsed when trying to get up from his bed. They diagnosed him with diabetes and an emergency state of diabetic ketoacidosis. He will need to be hospitalized for 3-4 days and his vet bill quickly skyrocketed to $6,000. He will need insulin as well once he is recovered.

Bojack is the sweetest, most active and athletic cat we have ever had. He loves to hunt moles in our yard and to share a bed with his brother, a 100-lb Newfoundland who loves him back dearly. He knows how to "sit" and "beg" for treats. If you lean in close, he'll give you nose kisses more often than not. Even when he goes to the vet for routine shots, he can't stop purring, just happy to have a new place to explore and happy to be getting attention.

Max and I will happily sell assets and plunge ourselves into debt over our son, but it's a scary position to be in, and we need all the help we can get from the people who know and love him like we do. Any donation at all is a small weight off our shoulders.

Bojack has a good chance of being restored to his rambunctious and sweet self, though he will need insulin shots for the rest of his life. Please help us help him to get stabilized and back to being the sugar-sweet, healthy, happy-go-lucky boy he is at his best.
