Hi this is Boii! He is a 7.5 yr old big hunk of loving pitbull. He’s unfortunately not doing so great as he's losing mobility in his back side. He now walks with a limp and can no longer sit normally nor stand for long periods of time. He's just not the same fun loving energetic big baby anymore, well ...big baby, maybe! He means the world to our family as he’s all we have left from our beloved son and brother who we tragically lost 6 years ago, Boii was his dog. He was only 16 when we lost him. Losing Boii would be like losing him all over again, Boii is another part of the family and another part of our son/brother. We want to do anything and everything to make him comfortable and healthy again so we can prolong the time we do have left with him. We value Boii as the last living piece of our bother/son, the last thing he left us. His passing will mark 6 years this month and having Boii in these conditions in these times are not easy.

We managed to scrape up the money to get him checked up at the vet with a x-ray and the analysis was that there were multifocal sites of thoracolumbar and lumbosacral spondylosis. Disc disease resulting in a spinal cord or nerve root impingement lesion. Myelography or cross-sectional imaging of the vertebral column would be necessary to determine if this is the case. This means that there are signs of back disease on his x-rays. They cannot tell what type of back disease or the condition of the spinal cord from x-rays though (that requires an MRI). An MRI can be quite costly ~3-5k range and we do not have that type of money but neither can we afford to accept that we are loosing another member of our family. The money will be used towards medicine, blood work and any future surgery that will be needed due to the disease. Please anything will be greatly appreciated anything helps.
