WHO WE ARE:

Cory & Marjiery Kozlowski, from Vashon, Washington.

My wife Marjiery was born and raised in Bogo, Cebu, Philippines, and her family still lives there. We're not just visitors to this community - we're building our future there. We've built multiple homes together over the years, and we're currently constructing our own home in Bogo with a trusted local construction crew.

Beyond our own property, we're actively restoring a mangrove forest and transforming it into a community space, building a sustainable fish farm, and working on several other long-term projects to strengthen the Bogo community.

OUR RELATIONSHIP TO THOSE AFFECTED:

The earthquake directly impacted Marjiery's family members, childhood friends, and neighbors. We have personal relationships with the affected families and are in daily contact with them and our construction crew on the ground in Bogo.

WHY THIS CAMPAIGN:

When the earthquake struck on 30 September 2025, it devastated our community. Families we know personally lost their homes and are now living in makeshift tents and tarps. With typhoon season approaching, they urgently need a safe shelter.

EXACTLY HOW FUNDS WILL BE SPENT:

We will work with our trusted construction crew to rebuild homes for earthquake-affected families in Bogo. Here's the specific breakdown:

Per Family Home Repair (estimated $500-$1,500 per family depending on damage):

Corrugated metal roofing sheets: $200-400
Plywood and lumber for walls/support: $150-300
Tarps and waterproofing materials: $50-100
Nails, screws, and basic hardware: $30-50
Cement and concrete blocks (if needed): $100-200
Labor costs for our crew: $150-400
Transportation of materials: $20-50

Our Goal: Rebuild or repair homes for as many families as possible with funds raised

Fund Distribution Process:

I (Marjiery Kozlowski) will personally oversee the purchase of all materials from local suppliers in Bogo.
Our construction crew will be paid fair wages directly by us.
We will document all purchases with receipts.
We will provide photo/video updates of the rebuilding progress.
Any unused funds will go toward additional families in need.

ACCOUNTABILITY:

All funds will be withdrawn by Marjiery Kozlowski and transferred directly to the Philippines.
Materials will be purchased locally in Bogo or Cebu to support the local economy.
Our crew is the same team building our personal home - we trust them completely.
We will provide regular updates with photos, receipts, and progress reports.
We are personally overseeing every aspect of the rebuilding process.

THE URGENCY:

Families are living in tents and tarps—typhoon season peaks in October. We need to act now to get people into safe, secure homes before more storms arrive.

Thank you for helping us help our community rebuild stronger.
