Our dear Eva Neni is moving home to Hungary.

With Bogi, her beloved pet puli.

 

Unfortunately, due to covid, taking your pet via airline the usual way is not possible nowadays.

Eva Neni, several friends and 2 separate travel agencies searched for the last 2 weeks to find Eva Neni a ticket with a dog cargo addition for $300 or so.

The way things were before covid, was that you could fly with your dog on the same airplane for extra $300 or so. Passenger on top your dog could fly beneath you.

Well that option is now out the window.

Our search revealed, that every airline has different policies, some don't take pets at all, some have weight and size limits.
The only option we found is a 30 kg limit. Dog +crate can not be more than 30 kg.
Crates are 7 kg...

Bogi and the crate are just a few kilograms, 3-4 to be exact, over the weight limit that some airlines would even consider taking him.

As of now Eva neni put Bogi on a diet and has an appointment to chop his hair of to see if that will be enough to take him home with an airline that will take dogs .
The risk is that the airline policies changing by the day.
So by the time Bogi looses the weight it is possible there will be no airlines taking dogs as cargo.

So the next option is pet carrier services.

And they are not cheap...

Expensive, to be precise.

Pet carriers are asking $3895.00-$5800.00 to take Bogi home to Hungary.

One way....

Can we get together and help Eva neni go home ?

To help Eva Neni move to her new home.

We all know she would not leave without him...

 

Ena Neni has touched so many of our hearts, helped to raise so many of our children and was a vital member of the New Brunswick Hungarian community for decades.

But now she is moving to the land her parents immigrated from when she was almost born.

She is moving to Budapest.

She has never lived in Hungary yet she speaks better Hungarian than some of us born there.

She dreamed about this for a long time.

It is time she has her dream fulfilled!

 

It is our turn to show how much we love Eva Neni, how much we cherish her and her dedication to us, how much we want to see her happy even though she is leaving us.

 

Donate as little or as much as you can. Every $ counts!

The more of us give the sooner she can move to her new home!

 

Her birthday is November 12th.

Can we send her home so she can celebrate her birthday in Hungary with Peter, her son, whom she has not seen for 3 years?

 

And if we can give her more than she needs for Bogi it will be our farewell gift to help her start over again.

Isn't she brave making such a big move at her age?

 

This fund raiser is a surprise.
