Bodine “Bo” Johnson died unexpectedly on Saturday, June 1st. Bo was 52 years old and is survived by his wife Olivia Johanne Brooks, whom he was married to for 29 years. Family meant everything to Bo and this was apparent through the love he had for his 2 children Trenton and Carmyn and his 3 grandchildren Joshua, Olivia Lilley, and Everett.
Bo was a 1990 graduate of Clinton High School and attended machinist school at State Fair Community College. He worked for J.E. Dunn Construction Co. and was a member of Local 1596 (formerly Local 777) since 1996. He was a member of Windsor Assembly and had attended Celebration Center in Sedalia. He was an avid fan of the Miami Dolphins. Bo was a humble man; his selfless, sacrificial, and loving demeanor will be missed by his family and friends.
In addition to his wife Jo, survivors include 2 children, Trenton (Alanna) and Carmyn Lilley (Bruce); 3 grandchildren, Joshua and Olivia Lilley and Everett; parents, Phillip and Carol Stephens; father and mother-in-law, Ronald and Ada Brooks; 3 brothers, Vernon Stevens (Jessica), Jason Hamblin, and JR Stephens (Felecia); 2 sisters, Jodie Eberting (Chad), and Jennifer Shaw (Terry); an uncle, Dale (Cheryl); and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his biological father, Michael Hamblin; a grandmother, Pete Hudgens; an uncle, Mike Johnson; an aunt, Linda Steward, and a cousin Bubby Steward.
