Safe Home for Girls Rescued from Sex Trafficking
Hi my name is Lucas Viera, I recently took interest in researching the impacts on society and individual men and women that come from the horrifying market of sex trafficking throughout the world. I recently found out about an organization in Dallas that provides a safe home for girls rescued from sex trafficking. As I live in Florida and am not able to make the trip to Dallas and volunteer, I want to make an attempt at raising money for the issue that is rarely discussed and is undermined throughout global news. Every dollar raised helps Bochy's Place (https://www.bochysplace.com/) provide a safe and nurturing home for girls that have been rescued and will hopefully spread awareness about the cruel reality of sex trafficking and the many forms that it takes place throughout the world. I feel that public safety needs to be more widely taught to men and women around the world so that the number of human trafficking victims begins to decline, and it is important to educate people on how to recognize situations in order to prevent this market from continuing to expand. Many innocent lives have been destroyed because of human trafficking and as a 16 year old high school student I want to attempt to make a change to help rehabilitate victims and ensure that every penny is utilized by Bochy's Place to provide support for these girls.
