Hello! My name is Diana Sierra and I am the proud Director/Principal of Boca School for Autism (BSA), located in south Florida. BSA is new, not-for-profit private school providing an individualized education, building on students strengths, and addressing their individual needs. Our program utilizes a transdisciplinary approach incorporating applied behavior analysis (ABA), relationship-based education, language/communication therapy, and occupational therapy, infusing sensory strategies throughout the school day.

We offer two pathways, one for students seeking a high school diploma, and one for students seeking functional academics and social skills. Our goal is to teach each student the skills and behaviors necessary to reach their goals and to become independent adults who can participate and contribute meaningfully to their community, home life and social activities.

Our high school students participate in off-campus internship opportunities, that align with their skills and interests, with support of their teachers and/or clinicians. This program prepares these students to get a job once their educational experience is complete.

BSA is raising funds to increase and improve services, incorporate community experiences for students to transfer and apply skills, expand enrichment opportunities, transportation for field trips and internships, incentives and celebrations, among other activities, workshops, and events that expand not only our students but the community. Additionally, our Fine Arts program that includes music and art therapy/art history, would like to create a winter showcase for families and the community to attend.

Our long-term goals are BIG! We want to extend our programming to include transition to college and/or transition to work not only for our students for other young adults looking to extend their opportunities. We look forward to serving the community long-term and look forward to providing other communities the opportunity to bring the BSA Model to their own community.

We recognize that our vision is BIG, but we believe our students and communities deserve options for their educational paths.
