Help Support Bob's Fight for His Life

I am creating this profile in hopes of supporting a family and a man that has been there for me my entire life. Bob, Penny and Nikki... all our prayers and thoughts are with you! We all LOVE you!!!!

Please take a few minutes and read about his deserving story.

Just this week the sweetest, most caring and giving man I know received some of the worst possible news… Robert Siegenberg, known by many as Bob, a husband, father, foster father, grandfather and overall friend to all, went into the hospital Wednesday due to shortness of breath. Bob, 71 years old, and his family were immediately informed that he needs a quadruple bypass operation as his heart is about to give way. Unfortunately this was not the only bad news he and his family would receive, as upon further tests preparing Bob for this major heart operation, he was also told that he has cancer – specifically lymphoma.

Bob has now undergone two open heart surgeries in the past couple of days and complications continue to arise daily. With this in mind, he has yet to even begin to tackle the cancer invading his body. He now faces the most challenging days, months and years of his life!

As Bob continues this fight, to help support such a great person (someone who gives everything he has to offer to anyone and everyone he meets) I am asking for your support to give back and help him and his family in this time of need … no amount is too small!

A Little Bit About Bob

Bob is a war Veteran of the armed forces in South Africa. He relocated his family to the United States in the early 1980's in search of a better life for his family and the "American Dream." After seeing years of civil unrest in his country, the United States promised freedom, equality and a new beginning for his family.

Bob first arrived to the United States with only the clothes on his back. He knew it would take hard work to make his dreams realities but he was young and determined. Bob knew that succeeding in a new country was not going to be easy but he was willing to do anything to support his family.

After many, many years of struggling, Bob and his wife started a small business in West Los Angeles and began servicing garage doors. Throughout the past 40 years Bob's kind spirit and gentle demeanor touched the lives of everyone that had the pleasure of meeting him. Now, at 71, his ability to support his family and their future, is in jeopardy due to the astronomical medical bills his battle brings. For any of us to see this happen to such an amazing person, who gave his entire life to others, is completely devastating.

As he always said to his family, friends and customers, “anything I can do for you I will, as every little bit helps.” Those who have been lucky enough to know Bob can attest he has always looked at life as "how can I help others." It is not an easy task to now have to turn the tables and to ask for help... as Bob would never do this on his own as he would never want to burden others. Bob is not a burden to me but a beautiful blessing to us all!

Please support and honor this amazing man and his loving family. No amount is too small, as Bob would say "... every little bit helps!"
