Bob’s Second Chance Medical Fundraiser

Donation protected
Hello Brothers and Sisters,
My stepdad has been on a medical journey requiring assistance. For as long as I can recall, he has been a symbol of sacrifice and giving. With an honorable and hard earned career in both the US military and US government-Bob has displayed what it means to be an active part of a healthy community of people. The amount of lives touched by him is countless-it gives a great understanding and promise that the Lord is on his side.
”I can do all things through God who strengths me.”
Philippians 4:13

Now, a heartfelt text from my mama;

“My husband, Bob Quinata and I have been together for 20 years- seems like forever! Throughout our many years together, I've come to admire his dedication to his family, friends and colleagues. He worked at FBLG Middle School, which became his second home. He has built genuine and lasting relationships during the span of his career; and his friendships are held dear to his heart. Aside from his civilian employment, Bob also served in the United States Army Reserve for 30 years. Much like at FBLG, Bob built strong bonds with his brothers and sisters in arms; relationships that have lasted to this day. Anyone who has ever worked with Bob would describe him as humble and kind; but most especially for his sense of humor. Bob's passion for his work has allowed him to serve many great years in the local government and military, both of which he reached a well deserved retirement.

After many years of his dedicated service, today, I humbly ask for help on his behalf. My husband has remained reserved and private in regard to his health journey he's been going through these past years. He has been diagnosed with End Stage Renal disease Stage 5. He has Kidney Failure with 0% functionality. He has been a dialysis patient for the last 4 years. In 2020, my husband, 12 year old daughter and I relocated to San Antonio, Texas with hopes and prayers for Bob to recieve a kidney transplant someday soon. With the help of his Nephrologist, he is currently on the San Antonio Methodist Hospital transplant list. Because the transplant list is extremely long, we are forced to travel to other areas of Texas and out of state to get Bob onto other transplant lists. We have intentions to get Bob on the list in Houston and Arizona. He has recently been seen by the Houston Methodist Hospital and told that he is a good candidate for a kidney transplant from their hospital. We have yet to travel to Arizona, and hope to get there in the near future. With that said, we are faced with the expenses of many out of town medical appointments and expenses. I am writing today in hopes that we will be able to recieve monetary assistance with Bob's journey to his much needed surgery and a second chance at life. On behalf of Bob and our entire family, I would like to sincerely thank you for taking to time to read about our journey.” - Jerri Quinata
