Bob’s MRI and final farewell.... x
Where do we start?! Well if we said the name Adageo Bob to the greyhound racing community, many would simply reply with ‘legend’ or ‘king of Romford’.....because Bob was a real superstar!

When he retired from racing he stood at stud in Yorkshire, before returning closer to home where he spent a few years as a semi retired stud & kennel pet 
During this time he was based at Dave Lee’s Peaceful Kennels where the Lincolnshire Greyhound Trust Epping branch is also based. A lady called Susan & her daughter Laura were regular volunteer walkers, one day we said ‘would you mind taking Bob up to the field?’.....
I guess you could say the rest is history! It was love at first sight but there was one problem, Bob wasn’t actually up for rehoming! After some negotiations, trips to a fertility clinic to ensure Baby Bob’s could still continue (thanks to science) Bob was fully retired. He was castrated and on 16th June Susan & Laura welcomed him to their home a month shy of his 8th birthday!
Bob was showered with love, affection and could not have been more well cared for in his home life.
Unfortunately around 6 weeks ago Bob showed signs of discomfort and went to the vets for a routine dental. Unfortunately in the weeks that followed Bob wasn’t quite right and it soon became evident that something wasn’t quite right. Despite lots of tests, trips to the the vets, they were still puzzled and Bob was not improving.
On Friday 4th June, he was referred for an emergency MRI. The results sadly showed that Bob had a brain tumour, and was laid to rest that day 
Bob had pet insurance, but unfortunately as he had been unwell for a length of time and had lots of different tests and treatment in the lead up to his MRI, his policy limit had been reached and exceeded. We know that Susan & Laura would have done anything for Bob, money didn’t come into it, which is why they didn’t hesitate in taking Bob straight for his MRI.
We would love to try and help Susan & Laura with the shortfall on Bob’s insurance . We know that Bob made lots of people smile in his lifetime & we felt that some of those people may want to give a little bit back ✨
