Help Bob in his fight against a rare skin disease.

I'm going to start this off by admitting that this is more than a little embarrassing. My name is Bob Ackerman and I have been battling a very rare skin disease that affects between 3,500-5,000 Americans called pityriasis rubra pilaris (PRP) for awhile now. This battle has taken an incredible toll physically, mentally, and financially. I haven't been able to work since my diagnosis in September 2023 and because of the rarity of my condition there is no definitive timetable as to when I'll be able to return or be completely healthy. Currently there are no approved medications or treatments available specifically for PRP, but I have a great dermatologist who is doing everything he can to help me in this battle. I suffer through bouts of chills, overheating, inability to walk due to fissures on my feet, extremely blurred vision, having to moisturize 3, 4, 5 times a day just to feel a little normal, severe lack of sleep, brain fog, and constant shedding to name a few symptoms.

I'm normally a very independent, active person who Loves to cook, be outside in nature, go for drives, hangout by the fire pit, etc. This disease has taken all of that, and more, away from me. I have managed to keep my usual positive mindset for the most part. PRP can't take that away from me!

This is where it gets embarrassing for me... With the medical bills building and as a ripple effect regular bills building, I'm asking for your help. If you are in any position to help out financially my family and I would greatly appreciate it. Any money raised here will go directly to paying medical bills and our regular biIls which have both been getting out of hand due to my inability to work. I don't really know what else to say or how to end this because I certainly never, ever thought I'd be in this position so I'll just say thank you.
