Bob's Beer Run 2021

Hey all!

Bob's Beer Run started in 2013.  My Dad, Bob, was diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma in 2013 and the prognosis looked grime.  I wasn't sure how to help or what to do.  I decided to start Bob's Beer Run as a way to help increase fundraising for the American Cancer Society.  We have been doing Bob's Beer Run for 9 years now and have raised over $40,000!  AND Bob totally beat melanoma!  He has been cancer free for 6 years now!!!!!

What is Bob's Beer Run and how does it work?
 A fun fundraiser for ACS!  It is free to join, I just ask that you donate to the American Cancer Society through this gofundme site(https://gofund.me/758a8708).  If you would like a Bob's Beer Run Shirt, please email/text/Facebook message me your shirt size and venmo me $15 (this year I will be charging for shirts...sorry). 

This year's theme is Country Western!  Get out those boots, cowboy hats, and chaps! 
 
We will not be doing out normal brewery crawl this year.  Instead, I will be hosting a hybrid version and there are 2 options for y’all.

Option 1: I will be hosting all that want to join at my house.  Everyone that comes will get a BINGO card. We will have the kick-off and then different stations for people to participate in the BINGO card activities.  We will be outside for the full day.  If you need to go into the house at all, I ask that you wear a mask.  This option will allow us to have the comradery of Bob’s Beer Run, but we will not be going to breweries where there are more people and increased risks.  I had a small group of people at my house for the virtual 2020 Bob’s Beer Run and it was a blast, so I thought this would be a good alternative to normal Bob’s Beer Run. Please note, this option may mean that you are interacting with people who have traveled from other states and may have flown. 

Option 2: Virtual!  If Option 1 doesn’t sound like your cup of tea, then there is a virtual option.  You will be emailed or linked a BINGO card.  Additionally, there will be a Zoom Kick-off call for everyone.  The BINGO card will be dangerously similar to last year. This option allows you to participate in Bob’s Beer Run from the comfort of your location with whoever you want to join. 

No matter what option you choose, there will be fun to be had!  We will send out pictures via the Instagram page and Facebook page and we will have a check-in call mid-day.  And the theme is still country western, so please keep those costume ideas coming.

IMPORTANT: By 9/1, please text, FB message, or email me the following things:
1.    If you will be attending.  And if you, which option will you be participating in.
2.    If you want a shirt; your size and that you have venmo’ed me. ($15/shirt)

I hope the Bob’s Beer Run of old is something that we can get back to in the future, but 2021 is not the year.
