Bob's Battle with Blindness: Your Help Counts
Donation protected
During a difficult time, I’m asking for support for my brother, Bob.
Earlier this year, his world changed in just a matter of days. What started as some blurry vision turned into a devastating diagnosis—he was legally blind. One of his retinas had almost completely detached, and the other wasn’t far behind.
At the time, Bob didn’t have health insurance, which made an already scary situation even more difficult. Thanks to his tenacity and the kindness and persistence of those around him, he found a specialist willing to help. Since then, he’s undergone two eye surgeries and several injections, with more procedures still ahead. The road to recovery is long and uncertain, and doctors have said it may take quite a while before we know how much of his vision he can regain—if any.
Unfortunately, this diagnosis also means that Bob has had to stop working. He’s applied for disability, but that process is slow and full of unknowns. In the meantime, he’s trying to stay hopeful, but the reality is that the financial burden is growing.
I’m starting this fundraiser to help ease some of that burden—for medical expenses, transportation to appointments, and simply getting through the day-to-day while he waits for answers.
If you’re able to give, thank you. If you’re not, sharing this page means more than you know. From our family to yours, we’re deeply grateful for your love, support, and prayers.
With love,
