On August 16th, Seattle's most charming resident was in a serious motorcycle accident while riding through the mountains east of the state of Washington. Whether you know her as Jae, Jaelle, or Jody, no one who knows Jae can fail to love her. Now she's in an intensive care unit in a hospital far from home, fighting to recover from a brain injury.
Her partner Maggie has gone to be with her through this ordeal. Our first goal with this page is to raise money to pay for Maggie's room and board so she can be with Jae. Our red-haired girl's recovery will be a matter of not hours or days, but weeks, and we don't want her to be left alone.
And even when she is ready to leave the hospital, Jae will need special care. Returning to work quickly is not an option. So all the money raised above what is needed for Maggie's stay with her will be used to financially support Jae during her recovery.
