My name is Lucy Eaton. I currently live in Florida but am from the beautiful state of Maine.
My sister called me today, Judi Hunt. We have been in touch back and forth the last few days so when she called me today I wasn't surprised. She asked me if I was home alone. I said, "yes." At least, I think that is what I said.
She sighed heavily and then said "Bob, he died." I didn't know what I heard. Bob is, Robert Gamble, he was just 24 years old and he was/is Judi's son.
I said, "what?" She repeated herself, my heart sank and I started crying. She was sobbing along with me. We don't know why, we don't know how. We just know that the sweet little boy born July 2, 1991, is no longer with us. He had the stomach flu. He had diabetes. The hard part is, we may never know.
What I do know is that, we have to lay the boy to rest and it isn't something any parent plans for. With the average funeral costing around $7000 any donation to help this family pay some of the unexpected cost of burying a much too young boy would be appreciated.
