Bobby’s Gender Affirming Surgery

Hi y’all! This is Jay aka Bobby Pudrido. I’m so excited and blessed to finally have a date for my gender affirming surgery in place. On May 31st 2023 I will be seeing Dr. Ley at the Gender Confirmation Center in San Francisco to undergo top surgery.

I have been wanting this for a long time and it took me working as a queer healthcare coordinator to finally figure out the process. Gender affirming healthcare for trans and gender diverse folks is incredibly inequitable, difficult to navigate, and to be frank, it works the way it was meant to because unfortunately some folks wish we didn’t exist.

I am privileged enough to have gotten this surgery approved by my insurance and am hoping to be reimbursed for travel expenses, but I am looking to raise funds for my out of pocket costs.

My out of pocket maximum is $2500 and I would like to raise additional funds for other expenses because I will be staying in San Francisco for 2 weeks.
