Helping Bobby in his fight with ALS

Hi! My name is Bobby Forster and I have ALS. There I said it...... For those of you who don't know what ALS is it’s a pretty crappy disease. It is a neurodegenerative disease that slowly takes away your ability to walk, talk, eat and even breath.

How slowly? Not very.... 90% of people with ALS die of respiratory failure within 3-5 years of their diagnosis. 

For me this disease is a bummer. I am 25 years old and am in the prime of my life. I have an incredible girlfriend, an amazing family, and the best friends anyone could ever have. I have always been very active and knowing that I am going to lose the ability to do a lot of the things that I love is really sad. 

My friend and fellow ALS battler Steve Saling once said, "Until medicine proves otherwise, technology IS the cure". That is something I have really taken to heart. Since receiving my diagnosis I have become determined to take the technology further than anyone ever has before. I am currently working to develop exoskeleton prosthetics that can run off of a brain wave interface. I have been hard at work on this since my diagnosis and I intend to change the lives of thousands of others fighting this terrible disease. This is something that is within my skill set and I will make it a reality. Please help me get there!
