As some of you have already read, my brother, Bobby Robertson suffered a massive heart attack on Saturday morning while he was home alone with his three small children. The kids picked up the phone immediately to get help. My oldest nephew Logan, his uncle, grandfather, grandmother arrived at the house first. Logan started CPR on my brother with his uncle Jay. Jennifer called my mom and we just so happened to all be in the same place with my sister. My sister and mom arrived next and took over CPR. Myself, Jennifer, and Tom all beat ambulances there, but my sister, Tom, and Jennifer’s parents worked on Bobby before they arrived. EMTs and family members worked on my brother for 45 minutes and literally brought him back to life. He was airlifted to Carilion in Roanoke.

He is still fighting and we are still fighting with him. A major concern here is his neurological function if/when he wakes up. He is still sedated, on a ventilator, has had two stents put in his heart for a 100% blockage, and has a balloon pump.

As of right now, we don’t know what each day will bring. We plan to take turns sitting at his bedside as they only allow two visitors per day (but they have been breaking the rules for us). I am starting this page for Bobby’s medical expenses, anything the kids may need, and anything else that could arise through this process.

Please also pray for my nieces and nephews. As far as we are concerned, they are heroes. We thank God they were able to get to the phone and we also are so thankful for Logan, who was right there and knew to start CPR on Bobby. They have experienced one of the most traumatic events life could have ever thrown at them. Please pray for them, my brother’s doctors and nurses, and my family. We are thankful to have so many family members in the medical field, because this would have ended differently otherwise. Thank you in advance for your prayers and support.
