When Bobby was losing his voice he learned he had nodules on his voice box.
They were removed but came back a second time, and unfortunately developed into cancer in his throat. The doctors decided to treat them aggressively with 6 weeks of radiation.
The treatments caused damage to Bobby's esophagus, vocal cords and throat leaving him unable to eat, drink and sleep normally. He made every effort to get to work when he could but extreme fatigue and pain made it very difficult.
In late February Bobby was found unresponsive and had to be intubated. He spent the next several weeks in the hospital where he was given a tracheotomy due to severe swelling of his airway.
He was then sent to a rehabilitation center where he could get stronger and learn to live with the trach and get back home to his wife and family and meet his newest granddaughter.
After 8 days in rehab Bobby again, with no knowledge of how long, was found unresponsive. He is now back in the hospital on life support. While Fran has been trying to work and keep up with all the expenses, she needs to be by Bobby's side during this difficult time.
Any contribution you can share is greatly appreciated. Please keep Bobby in your prayers.
