As many of you know my brother-in-law Bobby has been suffering with cancer over the past year. Around this time last year the cancer returned and metastasized to his lungs, brain, blood, and hip bone. He has received two hip replacements on the same hip which has depleted his ability to walk. He has been enduring a tremendous amount of pain. Just last week he was hospitalized with a very severe infection within his hip & had to undergo two more surgeries. Two days following those surgeries it was apparent there was internal bleeding within the stomach and needed to receive multiple blood transfusions. My sister, Maria Franchi-Kirschner, works full-time and was also Bobby’s caretaker and biggest advocate. She has been at the hospital with him every day and most nights sleeping there. I am starting this fundraiser to help her with his burial expenses and to ease any financial distress during an already difficult time. Anything at all will be greatly appreciated.
Many of you remember Bobby as an upbeat, funny guy who made the people around him always feel welcomed. So many people have beautiful things to say about him and that is comforting to Maria. She would always say “Bobby is my soulmate” and she would do any for him and she proved it 1000%. She just wanted to get him better, and if you could love a person to good health, Bobby would be invincible! Sadly, you can’t, but that did not stop her from doing everything she could to make him smile. Quietly & peacefully he slipped away, with her at his side, and the only thing that was on his mind was making sure that she knew that he loved her❤️
