Help Us Lay Pastor Bobby Joe to Rest

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of our beloved Robert Joe Smalls, affectionately known as Bobby Joe, who went home to be with the Lord on May 29th, 2025.

A devoted man of God, Bobby Joe was a former pastor who never let go of his love for the church. His faith shaped every part of his life—from the way he led others to the way he loved.

Bobby Joe was more than a spiritual leader. He was a gifted musician, often found behind a drum set, with a bass guitar in hand, or playing the keyboard—usually while singing one of his favorite gospel songs. His passion for music and worship was undeniable and touched everyone who had the pleasure of hearing him play or sing.

He had a big heart and simple joys—especially cinnamon rolls, pecan pies, and quiet days spent fishing. Whether at church, at home, or on the water, Bobby Joe was full of life, love, and laughter.

Our family is asking for your support as we raise $10,000 to lay him to rest the way he would have wanted—next to his mother at our family church.
