Donation protected
Bobby was born on January 17th, 1984, to Patricia Wright and Gregory Hicks. He went to be at peace the morning of Saturday, November 23rd, 2019 at the National Institute of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, MD. Bobby graduated Manassas Park High School in 2002 and quickly pursued his lifelong dream of becoming a solider in the United States Army. Bobby honorably served 12 years and completed two tours in Iraq (OIF) and his last in Afghanistan (OEF).
Bobby later attended college at NOVA to become a Master Mechanic. He enjoyed working on large diesel trucks and tinkering in the garage on his motorcycle. In the fall of 2014, Bobby was diagnosed with leukemia. In spring of 2015, he was accepted into NIH for a stem cell transplant and followed immediately into remission. Although the cancer never came back, Bobby fought a very long and difficult battle with the side effects. Despite his unimaginable struggles, he was always determined to do what he loved and to spend time with friends and family.
As we make the arrangements for Bobby's celebration of life, we ask that if anyone would like to assist in the offset of the costs, this would make a substantial impact in lieu of flowers.
