Bobby Garvin: Road to Recovery

UPDATE 5/29: Dad is doing so much better! His speech is still a little wacky but he’s making improvements everyday! They were going to start him on rehab when they found out he has blood clots in his lungs and is having trouble keeping solid food down so rehab is on hold. The DRs have him on blood thinner to help the clots in his lungs and he will have a scope put down his throat tomorrow (5/30) to see what’s going on with him tummy and why he can’t keep food down. Other than that, dad is in great spirits! His memory isn’t back yet. He keeps saying “these good people, I love these people” about alllllllll his friends coming by. We found out some really good news about his insurance and we are so close to having all his medical expenses paid (well what we’ve been quoted so far). Thank you again to everyone who has donated, dropped gifts off, prayed, and sent warm wishes his way. He has an army behind him! 

Where to begin, as we all know my father is a stubborn and blunt man. He doesn’t ask for handouts but would give the shirt off his back for someone he loves. Saturday May 23rd he was admitted at Plano Medical City for a stroke. His speech has improved since yesterday. He still has trouble forming words however he seems to have remembered all his cuss words! Lol. Dad has a long road ahead of him with tons of rehab in his future and to be honest we just don’t know what to expect at this point in time.I know he has a lot of biker buds and friends who want to support him during this time so please share this link with everyone you know. I don’t really have a goal as far as dollar amount. Help where you can, if you can and Dad will love it regardless.
