My name is Emily Diaz, I'm married to the most fantastic man in the world. Bobby is an amazing friend, brother, son, uncle, cousin, nephew, Boppa, Father and husband. He stepped in to care for me as I battled breast cancer before we married and was the ultimate caregiver to me. He has love for others that is unlike any I've ever seen. He has the biggest heart of anyone I've ever met..... and that's why he needs our help now.

Earlier this year Bobby was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure. As we've been navigating that new health development there have been a lot of tests and doctor visits. Among these was an echocardiogram that showed some weakness in his heart that they were concerned about. They determined that they needed to do a heart catheterization and see what was happening and possibly place a stent. So we scheduled that and on the big day he got all checked in and he went into surgery and I went to the waiting room. 45 minutes later the Dr came and asked me to follow him to a private room. As I did my heart sank and I started to cry, I knew something wasn't right. He sat me down and started telling me that Bobby's heart was in bad shape and he needs AT LEAST a triple bypass, possibly a quadruple bypass. He gave me all kinds of stats that are now lost in a river of tears. He did console me for a few minutes then left me to make calls and cry by myself until Bobby was out of recovery and back in his room. I then joined him and we started taking about everything we have to do in the next week to prepare for him to be out of work for 4-6 weeks. And the cardiac therapy he will need for an additional 90 days beyond that. 

We are going to need help getting the wonderful doctors that are saving my best friends life paid. We are going to have bills at home to pay as well as some additional medical expenses. I would love to be able to lift this burden off my husband's shoulders so he can concentrate on healing. We need him still...... all of us!
