As a leukemia nurse, I pour my heart and soul into the lives of others' loved ones, and some of my proudest accomplishments are making any single task, day, or moment easier for my patients and their families.

One thing I have realized lately, amongst a multitude of sappy, sad, and depressing others, is the financial burden of cancer treatment. I am truly appalled at the amount of out-of-pocket financials an individual is expected to just throw towards their treatment before they can even wrap their head around what those decisions might entail.

My mom is one of the most unique people you will ever meet. At first, you think she hates you, then you find out that she actually does hate you, but finally, if you stick around long enough, you realize that she would break her back and shatter her heart into 1 million pieces just to help you.

Words of affirmation or physical touch are not in my mom's love language. She's more of the do-do-do, give-give-give type. So, if we could please come together and show her support through this GoFundMe, I know she would truly appreciate it.
