This fundraiser has been set up to help support two young children, aged 7 and 10, who tragically lost their mum, Bobbie, just days before Christmas. Bobbie was only 34 years old and passed away after a brave and courageous battle with cancer. Earlier this year, while still grieving the unexpected loss of her own dad just three months prior, Bobbie was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Despite everything she was facing, she fought incredibly hard over the past 12 months, determined to spend as much time as possible with her children and to continue being the loving, devoted mum she always was. Throughout Bobbie’s illness, her mum became the main source of support and care not only for Bobbie, but also for her two young grandchildren. In order to do this, she had to reduce her working hours significantly, surviving on a limited income and using up her savings, while household bills and expenses continued to grow. Despite these pressures, she has never asked for financial help. Now, while coping with the unimaginable pain of losing her daughter, her priority is to give Bobbie the dignified farewell she deserves and to support her two devastated grandchildren as they begin to navigate life without their mum. This fundraiser is intended to help cover funeral costs and to ease the financial burden on the family during this incredibly difficult time, allowing them space to grieve without the added weight of immediate financial worry.
