Bobbi Steele DeMesme, mother of Michaela DeMesme, wife of Deborah Petrik, and beloved Steele family member, sadly passed away on February 13, 2021. Bobbi's life was one of charity and service. As a worker in the hotel industry, Bobbi was the definition of cheerful hospitality. She never met a stranger and would help anyone who asked for assistance. Bobbi was fiercely loyal and giving to her family, friends, and neighbors. She could never bear to see another person or animal in pain, and would go out of her way to help those who were suffering.
Bobbi was a true lover of life. She enjoyed fishing, grilling, gardening, the outdoors, and travel. Unfairly, her life was taken away from her unexpectedly and prematurely. As per her wishes, she served as a organ donor to continue to help the lives of others in a way she could no longer help herself.
Unfortunately Bobbi was exempt from getting health insurance through her workplace. St. Francis Hospital, the nonprofit hospital that cared for Bobbi, is working to help Deborah with financial assistance to pay for Bobbi's end-of-life care. Despite their assistance, significant healthcare bills remain.
As a friend of Bobbi and Deborah, I am asking for people to donate what they can to assist Deborah in paying for Bobbi's medical expenses. The donation amount listed is currently an estimate of the expected cost. Any excess funds raised will be donated to The Children's Hospital Foundation at St. Francis, in order to help other families in medical need. Their website is located at https://www.saintfrancis.com/the-childrens-hospital-foundation/ .
Any and all donations, no matter how small, are greatly appreciated. Please help by giving in memory of an amazingly giving woman.
