Bob Bennett, Sr. Funeral Assistance

Robert H. Bennett, Sr. passed away on July 12th, 2017.  Born on September 25, 1937 and was raised in Gloucester City. He was a long time member of the Gloucester City School board. For over thirty years, he was the crossing guard always at the corner of Monmouth and Broadway. He was beloved by children that he crossed, giving them treats and toys along their way home. He was very gracious helping others. He actively gave to charities and was an active member in his religious communities. Just 4 months ago he began going down hill. He had caught pneumonia while in rehab where he was being treated for an infection and progressed with Dementia. On friday July 7th, he was brought home to be on hospice. He has life insurance but it's not much. We have no savings to put towards the funeral and burial costs. We are asking for your help with putting him to rest.
