Many of you have known or have met Bob White, hall of fame sports writer for the Courier Journal for the past 50 years.
Bob has been the victim of embezzlement and identity theft by his only adult son. As a result, he has lost everything: his home, car, checking and savings accounts, health insurance, car insurance, his credit standing, even his long term care insurance. Due to the accrued debt now in his name, bankruptcy seems his only option.
If you are willing and so inclined to donate even a small amount that he would use for basic living expenses,  it would be most helpful and greatly appreciated.
It is very sad when LMPD says that there is no real expectation of recovery and very little can be done to assist a senior citizen who has been the victim of identity theft.
Bob lost his wife, my sister, some time ago and was living comfortably alone in retirement until his son moved back into his home and stole and destroyed all that he had. This is a tremendous tragedy in that Bob's kind and caring nature left him vulnerable for exploitation by his own adult son.
Bob is my brother in law and one of most kind and easy going gentleman you would ever meet. I would really appreciate your help for Bob.
