Bob Vasquez--Gone Much Too Soon

Bobby Vasquez made you a Bloody Mary, he made you a burrito. He had you over and he bbq'd for your occasion, he made you eat and asked, "Have you tried my chile?" Then he sent a jar home with you. Bobby fed everybody. He filled his house just as often as he could with family and friends for any celebration, or to watch the Giants, the 49'ers or the Warriors. Deb and Bob had been celebrating life together since 1982 and they invited you into their lives and their hearts--and we got comfortable there, didn't we?

Bobby thrived in keeping himself busy doing things he enjoyed including cooking, golfing and camping, but most importantly he loved just being Grandpa, Dad, Tio, Nino, Brother & Friend. He was such a giver. Not only did he make you eat, he made you laugh and feel welcomed. He showered his three grandchildren with unconditional love and sugar just as often as he could.

How does one return a favor to Bob Vasquez? Try to return a full propane tank you borrowed and he’d tell you to keep it. Show up at midnight at his house and he’d already have a pot of Pozole ready and donuts and coffee when you woke up. As you can imagine, his family and friends are feeling such a deep and terrible loss from his sudden passing. Bobby was a blessing to his community and well loved by all who knew him. He is already truly and terribly missed.

The Vasquez Family has put together this Go-Fund-Me to support Debbie as she embarks on this next chapter without her partner Blue Magic, Bob Vasquez. Funds will go directly to her account to support Bobby’s funeral expenses and medical costs from his recent week long hospital & ICU stay.
