Bob Stoski & Family Medical Emergency
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Mel and I am Bob Stoski’s sister. Some of you may or may not know that Bob has been quite sick recently. He was diagnosed with COVID-19 and admitted to hospital last week. Things took an even greater turn for the worse yesterday morning when Bob had to be intubated, put on a ventilator, and is now in the ICU fighting the battle of his life.
This means that Bob has been unable to work for some time and his wife Leeanne has been at home on forced isolation for a couple weeks already. Their son has now also tested positive for COVID-19, which means her isolation period had to start again. They do not have work benefits that are covering loss of wage or expenses, and the fight to obtain any money from the government for assistance is not going well.
A little about my brother.... he is a jovial 49 year old who is married to his loving wife Leeanne, and together they have three amazing children.
Aaliyah (18), Sianna (15), and Xander (10).
Bob absolutely loves lake life, camping and fishing. There is no motor that he can’t fix, no BBQ he can’t conquer, and can always be heard above the crowd telling jokes and laughing. He is a country music fan who loves action movies, and if ever anyone is in need, he’ll give you the shirt off his back.
So here I am, asking for your help on behalf of myself and the family. We never in a million years thought something like this would happen to our Family. I’m pretty sure no one ever does. Bob is in critical condition with many weeks of battle ahead of him to even consider being taken off the ventilator. We just learned that on top of this already tough battle, that he has multiple blood clots in his lungs as well. Focusing on your loved one is made even more difficult when you add in financial burdens.
Leeanne and the kids have yet to see Bob or hear his voice since he was admitted to hospital on Sept 21. They are stuck in isolation until at least Oct 8. I can’t imagine how helpless they are feeling being unable to be there with him.
Please help in any way you can and let’s ease this burden a little. Anyone who knows Bob well enough, knows he would do it for you.
Thank you for your support, love and prayers. The family is feeling quite overwhelmed right now and I ask that if you have any questions, or want to send any well wishes, please post here, on our Facebook pages, or message myself directly and I will pass it on for them to respond to when they can. Please no phone calls at this time.
I will continue to make updates of his condition as we manoeuvre through this journey.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
