Bob was diagnosed with Non - Hodgkins Lymphoma Cancer on Thursday, 9th April 2020. The outlook was positive to help put the cancer in remission, with treatment from excellent specialists in both Whitfield Clinic, Waterford, and St.James's hospital, Dublin. A bone marrow transplant was planned, but unfortunately never materialised as the cancer became too aggressive, leading to Bob's untimely passing on Monday 3rd November, 2020, at the tender age of 55, only 6 months after being diagnosed.
Bob purchased a pedigree Heifer Calf called Candy Lily, with the aim of flushing Embryos from this cow to donate to Cancer Research.
Unfortunately, as Bob passed, the Embryo flushing didn't go to plan, so Candy Lily was put in calf to get her cycling, her first calf was a bull, while her second was a heifer calf, who is now called Candy Floss. She was born on the 29th January, 2023, and later produced a heifer calf of her own on the 6th of February this year.
Candy Floss a pedigree Heifer Calf will now go to the Carnew Mart for auction on Thursday 30th April, with all money raised from her sale going to Cancer research to complete Bob's wish.
To honor Bob's wish his family, his wife Josephine, his sons Robbie and Graham daughter in law Teresa, and Graham's partner Therese are setting up a Go Fund me page for a period of 2 weeks, whereby all 3 funding streams, the sale of Candy Floss, the Bucket Collection at Carnew mart and the Go Fund me Sponsorship page, will be combined in full and donated to the Irish Cancer Society.
Any donation is greatly appreciated. Thanks for your support.
