Hi, my name is Jerry and I'm raising money on behalf of a quite amazing and inspirational person.
Bob, a patron and fundraiser for Parkinsons U.K, has raised tens of thousands for numerous charities in the past and runs his own support group for the local Parkinson's community, is in need of our help.
Bob was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease 12 years ago but has persevered through the disease's challenges and stayed strong for the people he supports.
However, earlier this year, Bob found out that he has severe stenosis of the lower spine along with bilateral recess narrowing which is crushing his spinal cord causing unbearable pain, which stops Bob from doing the necessary exercises that keep his Parkinsons at bay.
Now Bob has had every reason in the world to give in to his disease but through his own will and perseverance, has kept to a strict exercise and physio routine which has seen him climb mountains, compete in fitness events and raise tens of thousands for those in need while suffering in silence with his terrible disease.
It took a lot of convincing to get permission from Bob to start this Go Fund Me page, not because of pride or not wanting the help, but because Bob has always put others first.
The operation itself has absolutely no availability in sight on the NHS leaving no other option than to go private, which means Bob and his wife would need to find £10,000 to fund the treatment.
I'm asking anyone who reads this to help us raise the necessary funds to help Bob out of this distressing situation and get him back on his feet, enabling him to get back to his good works.
Below are some of the charities Bob has work with along with the amounts raised through various events over the past years:
