Bob Ludwig & Family

Hello Friends - My dear friend and sound designer, Bob Ludwig, has lost his home in the devastating Woolsey fire in Malibu. This is the SECOND time he has lost his home to a fire! The first was in 1978. He rebuilt - and now, nearly 40 years later to the day, he evacuated his family to safety and came back to his home to try and pack a few things, only to find the mountains near his house engulfed in flame.  He fled to safety, thank goodness, but the when he was finally able to return just yesterday, this is what is left of their family home.  



Bob and his wife Kati have two adult children. Their beautiful  daughter, Kailey,  has special needs and remains in their loving care. My heart goes out to this amazing family. They are looking for temporary housing while they try to put their lives back together. Bob is hoping to get a motorhome so he, his wife and daughter could live on their property while they start the long process of rebuilding.  When I spoke to him last night he was at Kinko's trying to make copies of documents. The tasks ahead are overwhelming, to say the least.  As many of you know, I lost my home to a fire in 2007 and it takes years and years to recover.  



I am starting this campaign to help ease some of the crippling financial burden facing Bob and his family. There are many places to donate to help victims of the fire and they are all good causes. If you feel so inclined to help the Ludwig family, please contribute any amount. It makes a difference. Every penny of the money will go directly to helping them.  God bless the Ludwig family and all the victims of this devastating fire.
