It is unfathomable that the same tragedy has struck Bob & Kathy Vierkant again.  On 12/12/16, there was a gas leak in their home. Bob was in the basement trying to find the leak when there was an explosion. He was flown to Iowa City and has 2nd and 3rd degree burns over 60% of his body. He will require surgery and skin grafting to his arms, hands, legs, and possibly abdomen and will have a long healing process. He is currently heavily sedated and intubated due to the extreme pain. Kathy is ok but will need time off of work to be there for Bob and help in his recovery, along with dealing with losing everything in their home. 

After the explosion, their home quickly caught fire and is a total loss. This is the second time this family has lost everything to a fire.

Although the family isn't asking for anything, we know people will want to support them (and have asked how to help) so we asked his immediate family if we could start this page on their behalf to help make it easy to donate.  For those of you that don't know, I am Bob's niece, Randy Turner's daughter.  ALL FUNDS WILL GO DIRECTLY TO BOB AND KATHY!
