Bob & June Carroll Harvey Relief

Bob & June Carroll (far left in the photo) are one of many of the flood victims in the Houston area as a result of Hurricane Harvey. Their home will have to be completely taken down to the studs in order to be rebuilt, as they sustained over 4 feet of water during the flood.
Unfortunately, they will not likely return to their home, as this is the second time this has happened in the past couple of years. They were actually just creeping up on their one year anniversary of moving back into their home after 6 months of renovations in 2016, after flooding occured.
To make matters worse, Bob has been fighting a significant battle with a rare blood cancer through all of this.
Here is the thing about Bob & June..... These are two of the most joy-filled, optimistic people I have ever known! They bring joy into every life they touch! My husband has been widowed a few years when I met him; June & Bob are his in-laws. In spite of the circumstances, they have welcomed me into their family as one of their own!
It brings me such pain to see them in these circumstances. I know there are SO MANY people who need help right now and there are many efforts and organizations to contirbute to. So by all means, make the choice that is best for you. That said, sometimes I prefer to contribute to something specific, where I know exactly who I am helping. If that is how you feel as well, then this might be a very good opportunity to do just that.
I created a $5000 goal.... I suspect that is a drop in the bucket on what will be needed, as they will have substantial financial losses on their home, yet the encouragement that Bob & June will receive as a result of the generosity of others, will be priceless.
If you cannot afford to give, or have already donated elsewhere, please simply pray for them .

2) I am the 'daughter in law' of Bob & June Carroll, through my husband's previous marriage.
3) The funds will be used to cover some of the MANY expenses from this loss that insurance does not cover.
4) I have found that through GoFundMe, I can redirect the funds directly to Bob & June, so I am going to do that to make sure there is no delay in their ability to withdraw funds for immediate needs.
